DMG Focus:

Diablo Management Group (DMG) worked with Skystream Networks to increase operational efficiency in the business. This satellite software exchange company produced leading-edge technology that required a long lead time in the sales channel. The selling cycle often took one year or longer and would generate expenses in excess of $1 million for each targeted customer.

Richard Couch served as acting CFO, while CT Johnson worked in an advisory capacity. DMG was able to develop unique methods for capital funding for this company and also develop partnerships which would allow Skystream to reach its targeted customers, but with costs shared with like-minded technology or service providers.

Results:
  • Set up a new business model closely associating Skystream with similar product sellers
  • Challenged each expense in the business to eradicate all unnecessary costs
  • Established sales channel that minimized unique costs to Skystream
