Business Description: An ASIC test and verification provider that designs, manufactures, markets and services a family of engineering IC validation systems.
Business Problem:

The company had encountered operational difficulties, was late on deliveries and had trouble managing cash.

Diablo Management Group (DMG) was retained by Integrated Measurement Systems by the Board of Trustees to assist the management in improving operational performance. IMS (an ASIC test and verification company) required outside council to facilitate an industry acquisition. Richard Couch was appointed as president and CEO, to manage the operational stabilization of the company before, during and after its sale or refinancing.
DMG Focus:
  1. Assist management in overall operational execution
  2. Improve delivery of product under deadlines
  3. Raise additional capital as necessary
  4. Successfully execute acquisition
Results:
  • Improved order delivery times
  • Settled with all creditors concerned with financing issues
  • Raised interim bridge loan
  • Successfully sold the company to Valid Logic
  • Later assisted Valid Logic in sale of IMS to Cadence Design Systems
